WHERE THIS TEST ENDED
The projection and calibration setup are visible. This clip does not establish dependable touch or finished hand controls.
- Projected desktop
- Camera viewpoint
- Calibration positions
- Future hand controls
The desk is the display surface
The clip shows the computer interface projected across the desk, including the keyboard area. The surface itself is an ordinary desk: projecting a control onto it does not make it a touchscreen.
The camera and interaction software are the other half of the idea. They have to locate the hand and translate its position into an action on the projected interface.
Connect the camera view to the projection
The calibration page visible on the monitor asks for positions on the projected area. Those reference points are how the software can begin relating what the camera sees to where the interface is drawn.
This is an early manual setup, before the later updates about brighter dashboard colors and automatic calibration. The clip gives a view of the work in progress; it does not measure the accuracy of the resulting map.
What this clip adds to the build history
It shows the physical arrangement behind the longer updates: monitors for development, a projected workspace, and a hand placed over that workspace during setup. The later tests show whether this arrangement can support useful tapping, grabbing, and moving.
